The general education classroom was a good fit for Damian because the classroom is very accepting and compatible with his needs. With a better sense of freedom, he is able to express his emotions better than before. The classroom has given him a voice. The second general purpose is to state what resources and aid the child will be provided. 

                       Components of an IEP
1. The child's present academic achievements and performance should be recorded. 
2. Annual functional and academic goals should be in the plan. 
3. The child's progress towards meeting the goals.
4. Statement of the aids and special education provided to the child.
5. Program modifications that will be provided. 
6. A statement of how often the child will participate with other special needs children.
7. Individual accommodations should be listed.
8. The date and location for the start of services and the start of any modifications made.
