For me, writing is a personal freedom because I can write my feelings and whatever I’m going through on paper and nobody would ever know what it was and so it’s almost like a venting source. I also get to tell the stories of my characters that I’ve spent years developing, I get to make these unique personalities and complicated backstories and I know how it’s all going to end and I even surprise myself with these twists and turns that I make in my own stories.

Being creative to me means that you create something that’s yours, whether it’s inspiration from someone/something else or something else. It can be something so small as a quote to a huge art piece or a long novel that took months, even years to work on. Being creative to me means you create something that has some sort of personal ties to you.

This semester, I hope to achieve the goal of becoming a better writer even if it’s just smaller tips. I hope I use the tips, the projects I’ve done in this class, etc. to use in my future writing projects and even as apart of my daily life.

Writing I would say has definitely made a huge impact on my life because I take huge chunks out of my day to just sit down and write, I currently am writing 4 novels of complicated characters and all day I’m thinking of possible twists and turns, backstories, new characters, etc. and I’m constantly forming and developing these characters.

It has become a way I can vent in a healthy way and after I’m done I can tear up the paper and that’s a good way to deal with anger you have because it’s like you’re ripping up what’s upsetting you.
