Was Thinking about making a promo video of the google pixel, its a little late, but regardless its a very versatile device.

actually instead Im thinking of planning a promo for the new "Polaroid Original OneStep 2" It's a remake of the original OneStep created by Polaroid that was released September of last year, but hasn't really seen any promotion.

Throughout the week i've been thinking about all the different ideas that I could do for the promo, reconsidering what I had my mind set on in the first week.

So as of right now Im debating on whether i'm going to continue with the idea(s) that I had before or if I want to try a new idea from the list of group ideas that was created last week.

I like the idea of continuing on with what I had thought previously, its a practical idea that promotes something that interests me, on the other hand, these new ideas are more wacky and out of the box.

THE SQUARE IDEA
speaking of boxes, a thing i've been thinking about for a while has always been to do with the simplicity of squares and how stupid and absurd an ad for such a simple object would be. I think Edgar Wright and Thomas "Tomska" Ridgewell would be my biggest inspirations in terms of direction and story.

I believe there's so many things that I can use when it comes to a square/cube I want to make it catchy and memorable so I want to sound like a nursery rhyme or dr suess book

I.e. Put a square in your hair, Put a square on your chair. Feed the square to a bear, take good care of that square.

So in summary at the moment, my final idea is just 'Squares' Anything squares

THE PROMOTED MESSAGE
I want to promote the usage of Squares, the usefulness of squares, in an absurd 30 second comedy sketch. the message needs to be catchy, something like "think outside the box with square" "Square, simplify your life" "Don't spare, buy Square" this message would be promoted to a demographic of young adults most likely around the ages of 18 to 25, looking for devices to help with daily life but are ultimately useless.

We're starting work on out sites, we're currently looking at the design, fitting the site to our desires.

INITIAL IDEA
For now my design is a monochromatic black and white theme, a minimalist design that represents what the cube stands for. the logo design follows this theme and fits right into the website, the black and white are also behind that Idea that somethings are just black and white, its just a cube, there's nothing behind it.

UPDATED IDEA
I believe taking on the same colour scheme as Google.

"There were a lot of different color iterations," Kedar says. "We ended up with the primary colors, but instead of having the pattern go in order, we put a secondary color on the L, which brought back the idea that Google doesn't follow the rules." A quote from the designer of the Google Logo in an interview with Wired.

I believe the colours have a connection with family, the joining of all primary colours creates a very harmonious mood, and for this product to be advertised to all audiences I believe this is the most effective way

The “Colour Family Drawing Test”: A Comparison between Children of “Harmonious” or “Very Conflictual Families”

WHAT
This paper is about the differences in children with Families who are "Harmonious" and Families who are "Very Conflictual" the study took 120 children and examined how they drew their families with the classification between "Alarming and Serious" and "Reassuring and Playful" hues depicting their family types. The children were given 24 colour pencils, a black pencil and eraser to complete the task.

WHY
I used this source to determine what colour scheme would suit best for a product made for all ages, the conclusion was to go with something that created a very harmonious tone, the object needs to be something that looks playful and family orientated so to fit an all ages theme.

REF
Biasi, V. , Bonaiuto, P. & Levin, J.
