I enjoyed reading the Grasshopper Jungle. It was something I definitely never saw myself reading. It was a step outside of my comfort zone. It dealt with things that I never really got that deep into until reading this. This book has expanded the way I think. It's a very modern take on a teenagers experience growing up.

The support characters didn't really have much depth to them. They didn't really need it though because the main character took all the focus. The problem he's dealing with is something not heard of a lot but could be more common then we think. The main character is in love with his girlfriend and his best friend(A male). The road this book went down was way different than anything of ever read, the world is ending but at the same time his feelings are too.

I chose this song because she's singing about approaching something new and just going with the flow and I think that's what the main character should do because he's experiencing something new and doesn't know how to deal with it.

“I love how, whenever you tell me a story, you go backwards and forwards and tell me everything else that could possibly be happening in every direction, like an explosion. Like a flower blooming.” Page 106
I chose this quote because I love how she descries his story telling, the way he tells stories is quite unique.

“Sometimes it is perfectly acceptable to decide not to decide, to remain confused and wide-eyed about the next thing that will pop up in the road you build.”
I chose this quote because he's basically saying it's okay not know what to doing that's not always a bad thing.

“Coffee is a girl who never tells a boy no.”
I chose this quote because I like how they approach the addiction of coffee, it uses a metaphor that is extremely accurate.
