Hello, I’m writing from Koçarlı /Aydın/Turkey. I’m a Primary school teacher at Aydın Atatürk İlkokulu. Koçarlı is a wonderful town which is about half an hour away from Aydın town. I work with children from 6 to 10 years old. I have been teaching for twenty two years.I truly love teaching to my younger pupils who are eager to learn more.One of my aim is to support my students in every aspects and encourage them to do their best. I'm imaginative because I believe imagination can do wonders.I love my job.I can’t wait to work with each and every one of you. Atatürk Elementary School was established in 1952. It is 2 floors. There are 13 classrooms.There are 13 class teachers and 1 foreign language teacher. We have 290 students. Our students are 6-10 years old.On the lower floor there are intelligent games and language classes for upper class students. There is a big garden. SCHOOL SAFETY
In order for the society to look forward to the future with hope and confidence, our children, who are the hope flowers of our future, should be kept away from all risks and dangers in the safe school climate. Therefore, the first thing to do from now on is to examine the emotional impact of violence on children, teachers and school workers, and to provide the necessary psychological support. Secondly, our children should feel secure.
Violence, bullying, peer bullying, cyber-bullying, economic violence, theft, addiction, technology and internet addiction are among the factors that negatively affect school security. These factors, which make the school environment unsafe, create a sense of anxiety, fear and insecurity for students. Students who have been subjected to violence in the school environment or who witnessed the violence of their friends think that the school is an unsafe place. This feeling of insecurity and the feeling of disorder in the school environment lead to alienation and absenteeism. Students who are bullied at school, who observe violence and do not feel happy are able to show behavior ranging from absenteeism to leaving school.
In order to create a safe school climate and life, schools need to work effectively on many topics. First of all, risk maps should be prepared by conducting risk analyzes according to safe school standards.
