The fact that an actual person is acting out an in-game character is super cool! It makes the whole game look so much more realistic as it has so much detail on how it moves and  how the face looks based on their emotions.
I think that over time, almost every game that is being created is going to use CGI.
Now, your probably wondering on how it works. Firstly, you need someone who is going to pose/act as the character! Then they put on a special suit with special technology on it. It is very complicated but I think everyone will get it once they actually see happen! The suit detects the movements of the characters and makes the model (the character going to be in the game) copy their own movements to make it look extra realistic! 
I think this is going to be a great feature mainly because most games copy how a person walks, talks and movers generally. 
My only problem with this really cool feature is the cost.
