My teacher toolkit was structured based on what I feel is most important for me as a first-time teacher. My toolkit will assist me in teaching practices and enhancing student learning and learning for myself. I added in Texas state standards, learning objectives, assessments, differentiation, and communication because those are critical things to know and learn more about throughout the years of your teaching career. To justify, assessment tools help teachers assist with student progress, inform instruction, and ensuring that teaching is responsive to student needs.

My teacher toolkit can prepare me by giving me tools to my state's standards, how to write learning objectives clearly, the difference between formal and summative assessments, why it is important to differentiate in classrooms and how to effectively communicate as a teacher. Overall, my toolkit serves as a resource that assists me with the necessary tools and strategies for effective teaching. I will be able to enhance my professional practice, ensure positive student outcome, and contribute to a thriving educational environment.

Toolkits can be helpful with colleagues because you are able to get feedback and add to your toolkit.
