If 'Dark Age' means a time period when bad events occurred, what do you think 'Golden Age' means?
I think a Golden Age would be a time period of growth whether it be through technology or economy or another mean, whatever this Golden Age is it would have to be quite spectacular in order for it to be even considered that.
What events would have to occur during a Golden Age in order for it to be 'golden'?
The events I feel would have to occur would be solving one of the problems that those people are facing. For example maybe there is a lack of technology and all of a sudden someone finds the material necessary and others come up with the ideas to use this material to its fullest potential this therefore means that people are growing and will therefore help this country in building the new technologies they required from before.

Explain how Islam's Golden ages were "Golden" in the middle ages:
Islam's Golden ages were "Golden" due to the expansion of the Arab Empire as well as with the birth and spread of Islam. With these two things Islam had a wide range of land in which they influenced from Spain to around India. This entire portion of land was owned by them and therefore they followed rules and customs which help spread their ideas especially with the wide range of things they had access to and what helped even more was the Indian Ocean Trade where they spread Islam further and gained resources needed for their Empire.
Explain how Europe was "Dark" in the middle ages: Europe was "Dark" in the middle ages due to the fact that they sectioned themselves off from the rest of the world. They all stayed within themselves and had no communication nor any idea with what was happening worldwide and because of that they stayed behind in the development of new technologies and didn't really excel at anything. While people lived slightly longer and a few things were changed no one really enjoyed life and nothing incredibly positive happened to them.

How were the Mongols so successful?
The Mongols were successful due to the ability to cover long distances, attack over a long distance as well as strategize about how they were going to attack. With all of this they were a very deadly force and if you heard they were coming or ever saw them you had to quickly decide fight or give up. Those who gave up only had about a 50/50 chance of survival but those who fought for sure had already signed a death wish. With the amount of Empires they took over as well as how good they were a conquering no one was able to stand up to them during that time period so the Mongols took everything they wanted and did what they wanted pretty much.
What were the crusades?
The crusades were a mission to take back the Holy Land. With the Arab Empire taking so much and Europe not knowing anything when it came time they wanted their land back so they went and fought for it believing all who inhabited it were enemies of them and therefore gave them no mercy.
