2. Then inform students we are going to be doing a project about caterpillars and butterflies. Let students know that soon we will be getting real life caterpillars!
3. However, we do not have a place to put them. Introduce the driving question: As scientists and creators, how can you create the best indoor butterfly habitat for our caterpillars? Post it.
4. Brainstorm different ideas as a whole class. Write this on a poster or whiteboard. 
5. Group students into groups of two, to write/draw in their science journals any ideas from the driving question.
6. Then direct students into our next step which is researching. Let students know we need more information to proceed.
