Hey have you ever played Fortnite? It’s a great game but somewhat violent. Fortnite is a game that you shoot people and zombies. Violent video games don't contribute to youth violence because there is a logical, ethical, and emotional facts evidence to prove or argue that when kids play video games it raises aggression between 12-18 year old kids.

Over 150 million Americans (and 71% of teens) play video games. There have been 71 mass shootings between 1982 and August 2015, seven of which involved the age of the shooters were 18 or younger. In 2011 the Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association the US Supreme Court ruled this is because that California could not ban the sale of violent video games to minors. By age seven, children can distinguish fantasy from reality, and can tell the difference between video game violence and real-world violence.

A 15 year old said "I have played the most violent games available on the market today, "and "I don't go killing people or stealing cars because I see it in a game. My parents say that, as long as I remember it's a game, I can play whatever I want." Good parents let kids play video games because most kids don't run into violence and keep doing things you need to do to prevent the kids from doing the wrong and doing the right. In recent years, however, other researchers have challenged the popular view that violent video games are harmful. Several of them contributed papers to a special issue of the Revie of General Psychology, published in June 2010 by the American Psychological Association.

A peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health found that children, especially boys, play video games as a means of managing their emotions: "61.9% of boys played to get things of their mind" 45.4% because 'it helps me get my anger out." Researchers point to the cathartic effect of video games as a possible reason for why higher game sales have been connected with lower crime rates. A peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Adolescent Research concluded that "Boys use games to experience fantasies of power and fame, to explore and master what they perceive as exciting and realistic environments (but distinct from real life), to work through angry feelings or relieve stress, and as social tools. The games serve as a substitute for rough-and-tumble play.

Sometimes Violent video games most of the time do not cause teen violence if it's with the right minds. Some cases have proved that violent video games or movies caused violence, shootings,or grand theft. Two teenagers in Tennessee who shot at passing cars and killed one driver told police they got the idea from playing Grand Theft Auto III (https://videogames.procon.org/). 'However, it's been proven by scientists that 99.5% of people will not be inspired by violent videogames. I've been playing video games for nine years and I have never been inspired to do certain things like steal cars, shoot people, or be violent.
