]]> 2021-05-23 15:38:52 UTC https://padlet.com/awilham88/ftkeo506vv7r49u0/wish/1551465004 Conclusion awilham88 https://padlet.com/awilham88/ftkeo506vv7r49u0/wish/1551467297 Pershing was a good commander in my view, but does not carry all the qualities needed to reach the ranks of great commander.  Although he did lead many battles and could be seen as successful by some I don’t, I see him more of having a successful career then going down as a legend.  The one thing we can all take away and learn form General Pershing is his use of politics.  By using politics to his advantage, he built his career more strongly on leveraging others other than his battlefield victories.  Going into World War I with new items such as he machines gun and mechanical warfare, this was a good edge to have.  If it wasn’t for his political knowledge of working around and with the enemy and making connections, would he had ever been in the place he was?
