I would respond by staying calm. From what I have found in the past its that yelling back and raising your voice won't do you any good. Yelling back fuels the fire of their anger so I would stay calm. I may even walk away for a bit and revisit when they are calmer and thinking more rationally.

I would ask them what the problem is and stay calm. I would then try and think of a way to fix the situation.

Stay calm and explain my side and my feelings. If that doesn't work, try another time when they are calm.

I would try to stay relaxed and talk the issue over until it was resolved. If we cannot solved the problem I would ask to talk about it another time when things are more calm.
