I understand that there are different components of the lessons that cover 100% of the TEKS. All grade levels have foundations skills either taught separately from reading or integrated in. The units in BBL reading are often based on science and social studies so that students build their background knowledge to be able to read more complex texts in upper grades.

There are 2 components: knowledge and skills. Those two components vary in structure for K-2/3-5. There is print material as well as some material that is available digitally. BBK is a great example of a HQIM that weaves those essential RBIS throughout the curriculum.

My understanding of Bluebonnet Learning K-5 RLA instructional materials is that the materials are thorough and aligned so that teachers can spend time on internalizing the lessons and executing the lessons instead of planning and finding materials. With the Bluebonnet Learning tier 1 instruction will include coverage of 100% of the TEKS and ELPS. Students will receive instruction in literacy that includes all the key pillars of literacy instruction.
