The background information around the social event would provide people with an understanding of why this event is being held- which is to raise awareness around mental health.

I would like to make some suggestions to your logo and banner design. As a web designer, I have read multiple articles on colour theory and I think the colour green would be more appropriate for the colour theme of our event. The colour green is associated with renewal, growth, hope, compassion and harmony. It can also affects us physically and mentally. It is a relaxing and soothing colour that helps alleviate anxiety, depression, and nervousness.  Green is also the colour of the awareness ribbon for mental health. Awareness ribbons are considered as a universal symbol for social or disease awareness. Here is a website that provides information on colour theory if you are interested:

My role in The Mindful Festival is website designer and developer. This means I will be creating a website for our event and be responsible for the technical and graphical aspects of the website. My role as the web designer is to focus on the webpage design, layout, content management and the user experience.  On the other hand, my role as the web developer is to focus on the coding, structure, functionality, and performance of the website. It is important that we have a website because people may want to carry out research online first, before participating an event. It can provide support or information about our event whenever it is convenient for them.
