You can teach students how to research and find an answer within seconds. Another Pro would be that, with Google Docs, it will be easier to assign group projects, having the students collaborate together without having to only work at school will be very beneficial. Too many distractions from actual work, giving a child the ability to have all the social media and games could hurt the educational growth of the child. Another Con would be, enabling more screen time for students, I understand that it;s not the teachers responsibility to set hours for screen time at home for students, but the student will watch and play video games, having a laptop to take home would be adding to that screen time.
