In the Battle of Britain, Germany and Britain fought for about 4 months, Germany lost the battle but Britain did not come out happy due to lots of lives lost. The Untied States is not happy that Japan continues to try and expand its power on its conquest, and the US has an idea to harm them without fighting. The US cuts off Japan's shipments from them like oil, steel, and machinery that they get from the US and are needed for war. It is called an embargo, meaning companies cannot sell industrial goods to Japan.
