I was scared. I walked closer but I didn't see anything.
Next day I discovered that my neighbor had disappeared. In a few days I found out that a corpse was found in a river. (word order)
The corpse didn't have a head. It was awful. As usual I went to play poker in the evening. I liked to play poker and I often visited Poker Club. I had _ big debts. (no article because plural)
I wanted to win a lot of money and repay debts. When I entered a room my friends were playing cards. When they noticed_ me they stopped playing.
They were scared as if they saw a deceased man (a ghost would be a better comparison). In a few minutes we were playing poker. That day I didn't win anything. I felt sad because I had owed money to all my friends.
Next morning I received a parcel. The parcel contented my neighbor's head and a note in which it was written : "Debts must be returned" . I fainted. After I had got up I called the police.
I described  everything to the police. They decided to put the house under surveillance. I went to sleep. When I woke up I found out that the police had caught 5 people (mind the spelling). It was my friends.
The first time they mixed up and killed my neighbor. The second time they decided to kill me because I hadn't given back debts.
This news tired me and I went to sleep. When I woke up the moon had moved behind a cloud. It was only a dream.

It was too dark, so I tried to come closer. My feet were in water, but I was very interested in what was in front of me. Suddenly it made a horrible loud sound and I saw two yellow eyes. Before I tried to run away, I had remembered an old legend about scary monster, who lived in that river. I made one step back and slipped.  Half of my body was in water and I felt, that I had hit my head against a stone. I felt the monster coming to me and lost consciousness.
 When I came to senses, I was laying in hospital. I asked a doctor, what had happened. He said that a man on fishing boat had found me on a river coast and delivered me to the hospital. “Oh no”, I thought in my head “The monster I saw, is a boat!”
After I had felt better, I left hospital and went to the river coast. Of course, I didn’t find anything interesting there. I stood there a few minutes and understood, that I should stop drinking, especially on my way home at night.

I followed the sound and suddenly saw 10 mermaids, dancing in the middle of the river. In a moment I realized, that my legs were going in the direction of mermaids without my wish. I got dizzy, I couldn’t detect even colours. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in the middle of the memaids' circle. I was dancing with one of them. At first I didn’t understand, what had happened. But than I got the point - it was a mermaid wedding ceremony and the groom was… ME!. 
I tried to run away, but it was impossible. I started shouting, but no one heard me. I was in panic and tried to swim away… All of a sudden the water under me made a crater and I fell through it. 
When I  opened my eyes I was lying in my bed…. After that nightmare I never mixed drugs with alcohol.
