I've been teaching for 14 years in places like South Korea, Czechia, Australia, China and the UK. The past 11 years have been spent in Academic English.

My favourite hobbies are going to gigs, football, making coffee and marking essays (1 of these is a lie). I love living in Leeds, and hope that you will do too. Make sure to explore the nearby villages, moors and dales when you get a chance!

I have been teaching English to speakers of other languages in a number of fields for the past 17 years. In addition to my DELTA teaching qualification, I graduated with Master of Mathematics degree from the University of Manchester.

I moved to Leeds in 2022 and joined Study Group at the start of 2023. This is my first role in an HE context and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It's great to meet so many up-and-coming academics at LISC and it is an honour to guide students through the first stages of their HE journey.

I have been involved in teaching English for the last 15 years, but I focused on teaching Academic English Skills since 2018.

I used to live in Bonnie Scotland, where I was studying for a doctorate in Education. Last year I moved to Leeds, so I am still exploring and loving my life here. I hope you will also embrace the beauty of Yorkshire.

I have been teaching English at international schools and language centers in Vietnam. I've got a BA in English Education and an MA TESOL. Besides, I've had one published research about the IELTS Speaking Test as a leading author.

I was an international student coming to the UK for my study so I totally understand your feelings, emotions, passion, and energy of young people who are going to study to their fullest potential in this place.

I like reading books, cooking and drinking tea in my free time.

I studied for a BA in Marketing and worked in the field for nearly 2 years before transitioning my career to teaching English as a foreign language in Vietnam. To enhance my teaching profession, I completed my CELTA qualification and then pursued a Masters in TESOL in the UK in 2022. I have been teaching General English and Academic English to international students in Leeds and Hull for the past few years, and it has been such a great experience.

If you see me in one of your classes, please don't mistake me for your classmate like lots of students in the previous year did, as I'm gonna be one of your AES tutors.

I have been teaching English for nearly 7 years now, especially general English, IELTS, and English for specific purposes in language centers in Vietnam, University of Leeds in summer and Leeds ISC during the academic year. Graduating with a BA in English teaching in Vietnam, an MA in Applied Linguistics with TESOL in the UK (University of Sheffield), and a CELTA certificate, along with my experience in English teaching, I believe I can help to equip you with necessary academic English skills for your university studies.

Similar to Ms. Leah and Ms. Allison, I also first came to the UK as an international student, so I've known how difficult it is to adapt to the new life and education environment in UK which might be a lot different from the ones in our home countries. Talk to me if you need any help with that.

My hobbies are cooking, dancing, singing, fashion, traveling, etc. and I have a really keen interest in Kpop especially girl groups.

I have been teaching English to international students for many years. I've mainly worked in Higher Education in the UK where I have taught Academic English on different courses and I have also taught on a Masters in Teaching English.

In my spare time I enjoy baking, travelling and walking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

I’m Oanh- from Vietnam – and I am happy to be part of the AES tutor team.

I have been teaching for more than 10 years in both Vietnam and in the UK.  One of the best parts of my job is working with students from all over the world. It has helped me learn so much about different cultures and ways of thinking, and I love the energy that comes from such a diverse learning environment.

I came to the UK as an international student years ago, first for my Master’s degree in Education and later continuing on to PhD-level study. So I understand what it is like to start fresh in a new academic environment- it is exciting, sometimes a bit overwhelming, but full of opportunities to grow. I’m here to support you along the way, and I hope my knowledge and experience can help you feel more confident and ready to succeed in university life.

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the North of England with my family when I was young. After graduating from the University of Leeds, I spent over ten years in Japan working as an English teacher. I’ve recently returned to the UK, and it’s incredibly exciting to be back in Leeds!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, going for long walks, and spending time with my family (hours of watching Bluey with my son)!
