Unfortunately, my education was mainly based on rote-learning. At my school, there were no projects or similar activities, and we were assessed by means of tests. Granted, personal effort, behaviour and homework activities were also taken into account in our final marks, but there was no room for creativity or to expand your knowledge on what you really liked. From time to time, we also did some group work but that was the exception rather than the rule. I remember that we were hardly ever asked to speak in our English classes... can you believe it? Then, at university, the most common activity we did in class was note-taking in lectures, but we also did some group work that was noteworthy. Then, at my master's degrees, things changed and even if I had some lectures and note-taking, these were combined with other types of more active activities. To sum up, I feel satisfied with the progress of education throughout the years and I've come to realise that education is changing for the better. What about yours?

I studied in a segregated school, some of our teachers were nouns. As this was the closest school to our house, my parent chose it.
The best memory I have there was the diversity; I mean, some of my mates were living apart from her families, we were people from different economical status, diverse ethnicities, capacities... It has helped me to valorate the difference. Other pro was to learn more than academics, such us sewing, knitting, making some easy electrical arrangements...
On the other hand, it was a religious school and, in some way, the nouns tried to adoctrinate us.

My education was run of the mill or traditional. I attend a mixed sex school, so I didn´t wear unfashionable uniform. But, on the other hand, I wouldn´t have minded dressing it, so I wouldn´t paid attention brands.
From my point of view, I hadn´t state of the art equipment comparing nowadays.
In addition currently, students have other methods to develop their personality, for example, they are used to speaking in public without embarrasment, and when I was a child, we didn´t put in practice it.

When I was a child I studied at the public school of my town. I was fortunate to have my education on a mixed environment were you could play and socialize both with girls and boys, no distinction based on the sex whatsoever. Additionally I was lucky enough to get to the school on my own, as it was only 2 minutes away from home and my parents didn't have to give me a lift by car to bring me there. All in all, I have good childhood memories of my primary school time.

When I was 10 years old I came to Spain, I was in primary school. I started studying in a traditional religious school. There were very rules and we had to wear, in my opinion, a little bit ugly uniform. But the positive point was that the nuns were very good with me and my brother then and help us to learn Spanish quickly. I studied there to secondary school.
In secondary school, I have good memories of people; teachers and friends. I appreciate them and they valued me too.
After these two years, I started my university studies in a private school, where I had the hardest period of my life and at the same happiest.(Aleksandrina)

In my case, primary school was very funny. I didn't have to memorize everything; instead of that, we learnt by playing games and having different activities, such as, making a radio programme or translating a movie recording our own voices. I think it was the perfect way to study different subjects for me, in that I have been able to get a university degree. I learnt every subjects in basque and nowadays I can say that I'm equally fluent in basque and spanish (Julene).

I studied in a religious school run by nuns. Given that it was an Catholic education, it might seem that it was traditional and had lots of rules, however, I have very good memories of my teachers and classmaes, not to mention, my best tricks were done within those four walls.
What I hated was the uniform, it had a horrible gray color and a belt with a big buckle with the school crest. But I had to admit that it served as many thing as a whip or a rop with which to clim trees.
