I don't have much background in bioinformatics, but I worked at a biotechnology company for 2 years prior to coming here. We used real-time PCR technology to create test-kits for diseases. During my time there I was able to talk with the Research and Development team and learn about the bioinformatics tools they utilize to create the products.

I'm excited to take this course and learn more about other bionformatic tools!

I’m unipd student from data science with biological data analysis curriculum.

My bachelor’s degree was in mathematics (I studied what types there are and built mathematical models for various biological processes, in particular, to describe the development of non-small cell lung cancer during the treatment - particular application of pharmacometrics). After graduating from my bachelor's degree, I completed an internship and went to work for a Russian bioinformatics company. There I was engaged in pharmacogenomic research. Using genotyping tools, I found new and prevalent cytochrome gene alleles in the Russian population
