City life 30 years ago differs very much from city life in the present. 30 years ago cities lacked transportation methods and roads were not very popular in the cities whether they were rural cities or urban cities. Labor opportunities have increased since the past 30 years and the working industries have improved in efficiency through the development of technology in these past 3 decades. Also infrastructure has drastically increased since 30 years ago, you might even say that skyscrapers are common in cities nowadays compared to 30 years ago they were almost non-existent. Additionally, if you compare the housing side of cities since 3 decades ago, you will clearly tell the increase in that matter and that is because of the rapid incline of the population in cities.

I think life in Abu Dhabi was way different 30 years ago, most houses were less than 1 story tall, and most people shared a home, shopping would be provided by small flee markets, since malls weren't famous back then, most shops sold local items, although the pearl market crashed, some marketers were dedicated to the item, and refused to stop selling it even though profit wouldn't be high, sometimes none at all. Most people walked to schools, since cars were a luxury back then, school used to be more ruthless, and they resorted to scolding kids if they weren't behaving correctly, although it was brutal, that method worked considering alot of those kids are working good jobs now and helping the country, the rise of Abu Dhabi wasn't a smooth ride, and there were alot of times where sacrifice needed to happen, but with great leadership, it thrived and became the city it is now.

Expo 2020 will have three sub-themes: Opportunity (reflecting the necessity of financial capital as a resource to support growth, and partnerships as a primary driver of innovation and employment), Mobility (physical mobility for individuals, access and distribution of goods and services, and virtual connectivity through information technology), and Sustainability (the need to use resources without compromising the ability of the planet to sustain future generations, in recognition of the role of natural and built habitats in ensuring human well-being and community resilience).
