Students participated in a observation task of video clips and collated their notes together Via a Shared Document on Teams.

Simple task, however students engaged well and completed the task, tutor able to see progress and engage to stretch their thoughts. Engaged learners to contribute.

Impact - Will be repeated, Learning about other's experiences today will inspire to include more methods to support. I could have used a Padlet as an alternative. I have used Kahoot lots in sessions.
We extended our session with students recording their own videos and completing observations via their own videos. We looked at validity and clarity of writing observations and we then posted the videos to teams. Students are Level 3 and engage well with any use of their phones in class and have all now successfully overcome WIFI issues!
Students access Pro Portal in each session to set their own personal targets. They also update their Gro Far placement hours.

Laura Sanders

Platforms we used; menitmeter, Quizlett, jam board.

Linked the digital platforms to my unit delivery which was Health Psychology, then selected a theorist. They worked in groups, clear role responsibilities for each student, to avoid free riding.
Only issue was I couldn’t open their work on my board.

Amend tasks so interaction took place. Students used their iPads/laptops and engaged face to face with other groups.

Padlet was set up before session and link sent out to all learners. Needed to use personal email, didn't like SMB.

Intent: reflective feedback on 'risk it week' where student delivered their own session using presentation skills. Share peer feedback.

Implementation: Students were keen to use it but due to IT issues access to the Padlet "browswer is not supported", "wifi restrictions", only 2 out of 9 were able to access it.

Impact: This is something that I can still use remotely between sessions to gain student feedback. Set up and confirm access prior to session. Good assessment tool or share research/sources on topics for independent learning going forward.

Easy to set up and a good variety of quiz type games to choose from, can access from link on teams and compatible with phones. I did 3 different games with the same questions:
Wack a Mole - looks great for us but students didn't engage well, found it confusing and hard to understand at first but then got the hang of it and was fun to play
Game Show Quiz - Able to put more questions on this one and students engaged more with this, easier to ready and play.
Anagram - Good started and motivational quote used - feedback was positive from he group and was then a good talking point.

Victoria

Can only access from a computer - not phone and the delay in getting on meant the fun aspect was lost - because of this would be better if students had laptops to work from in class and used as a break up assessment of learning mid lesson.

Victoria

Have used previously - sometimes it does not let students answer all questions and misses some out so can be a bit glitchy at times. Have tried to get students to create their own quizzes - takes ages to set up a google account with their college emails and then locks us out one day and back another!!

Victoria

Either all american or just nothing relevant when i search :(

Padlet - only lets you have 3 free :(

Jamboard was not on the list - really like this and have used it since the ETF training :)

Victoria

Learners enjoyed Slido even though there were hiccups, next day they wanted to use it again as the answers were instant. Students that were not likely to volunteer answers were willing to participate. Some were a bit sneaky and copied and pasted answers from the internet. Hiccups were issues with the internet speed and the QR codes - we needed to make sure the learners had gone off the previous code or else they would all be linked back to the previous QR code. If we had time to play about and become familiar with all the different utilities in the system this could be good to use with learners as it can be used with different types of Microsoft Office tools .
Siroja, Randy, Sara
