El Anatsui, who specializes in creating large-scale wall art with recycled bottle caps and seals, constantly explores the connection between waste and regeneration through his creative process and selection of materials.

El Anatsui's bleeding takari. Anatsui connected the bottle cap with the tin foil seal using copper wire, then folded the resulting "fabric" horizontally and hung it on the wall.

I think it's an interesting point to use discarded bottle caps because their curved shape retains traces of the hands that pried them open and discarded them. And I also like Anatsui's saying that "regeneration also comes with blood, just like childbirth, and brokenness and decay can also be the conditions for new growth and rebirth".

In terms of the sustainable development of enterprises, I think Midea Group has done a better job.

Midea's industry areas are basically concentrated in home appliance manufacturing, smart buildings, and smart industry. Midea Group has continued to promote the use of clean energy over the years, making the average proportion of clean energy use reach more than 10% in 2021. The carbon management system has been implemented in some industrial parks of Midea to monitor and manage carbon emissions in the park, and more than 1,000 suppliers have been organized to participate in green strategy training, which ! believe can make a great contribution to the construction of a green, low-carbon and circular economic system.

Under the influence of sustainability, what we have in common is that we will increasingly prefer to buy sustainable, environmentally friendly and recyclable products. For example, bamboo disposable chopsticks. We will also reduce the waste of energy, save water and electricity in daily life, and generally choose public transportation or walking and cycling in terms of transportation.

Personally, I will volunteer in my spare time and actively participate in environmental protection activities in the community, such as planting trees and cleaning rivers.

I think if I want to live a more sustainable lifestyle, I need to collect rainwater to water flowers or flush toilets, reduce the use of disposable items, and use natural light and natural ventilation to reduce the use of electricity.

Bamboo is a fast-growing plant with a well-developed root system that stabilizes the soil and prevents soil erosion. Bamboo can effectively absorb carbon dioxide in the air and release oxygen, which is of great significance for mitigating global warming. From furniture and building materials to paper and textiles, bamboo has a wide range of applications.

All in all, bamboo has a short growth cycle, is easy to grow and manage, and its waste is degradable, pollution-free, and has great ecological and economic value.

In this week's Language week, our topic is Sustainability. This week, we have learned a lot of vocabulary about this topic, such as sustainable, ecology and renewable. And watched some videos on this topic, I think it is very helpful for us to understand this topic. In class, we had many oral exercises about "sustainability". I try to express my views and suggestions on sustainability development in English, which not only exercises my oral English ability, but also enhances my self confidence.

Over the course of the week, we delved deeper into sustainability, and what I most enjoyed this week was getting together with the group to discuss the articles we found. I find it most challenging to find English sites in China, but Pearlina shared with me a few English sites she uses regularly. I think these websites are interesting and helpful to my research. Therefore, I think the articles I chose for this project research are better than the last one, because the contents of these articles are very consistent with my project topic.

In the fourth week, I obviously felt that my listening ability had improved a little, which I was very happy about. Although my oral English has not made great progress, I have gradually overcome the poor expression caused by nervousness by communicating with classmates in English during learning. In addition, we held the second seminar this week. I think the group cooperation this time is better than the last time, and we can study our project more carefully. In the course of the seminar, we also actively discussed the problems.
