2.   Before I take this course, I believe that my purpose is to help other people. But as I continue to be filled with knowledge our God every week, I became stronger in ever struggles that I encounter because I realized that this purpose I believe in is the not just a simple purpose but one thing that God has given me. Therefore, no matter what happens, I will be able to fulfill this purpose because that is the reason of my existence. I tend to became hopeful because of the fact that God let me to live in this world, meaning I am chosen to accomplish his will for the betterment of his creations. 

 

Some people tend to have difficulty in answering question regarding their purpose in life because they haven’t realize yet a wonderful thing – that every human being is special because they were chosen to fulfill the will of God. Some find difficulty because they haven’t known God as our creator and that we must go back to him. This is the reason why there are people who lives immorally because their eyes are still closed by the light God is giving us every day whenever we communicate with him. 

 

3.   We have different understanding about our purpose in life because we have different experiences and beliefs in life. One of the factors is the environment that we live in and the people we let ourselves be surrounded with. It truly affects how we perceive life and how we see the importance of our existence. If every human being let themselves be knowledgeable with God, then all of them will be able to walk through the right path and experience amazing grace.

4.   Since the purpose of our life came from our creator, I believe that that our happiness will also depend on that purpose because God already willed us to fulfill it. Now, if we are willing to say yes to the will of God, then it means we also say yes to our will. I am truly grateful that as this point in my life, I have already realized the source of my happiness and it is by helping other people and I know that God let me desired for that dream again, I think that is the purpose of my life. 

"To go back home to God". I've been hearing this phrase since August. Because of this, sometimes, I feel like I already know the whole concept of our Theology class- knowing and understanding this phrase for this is everyone's purpose in this world. We entered this world to live a life of righteousness and at the end of our journey here on Earth, we must go back home to God. 

I will always remember our first quiz in Theology class because one question was about our purpose in life. I overthought, forgot our lesson and answered, "to influence other people for them to be improved versions of themselves". Obviously, I got the wrong answer but I was happy realizing that at least, aside from going back home to God, I knew I had another goal or purpose which I dearly hold on to. Before learning that it is our primary mission to go back to the Father, I've always felt that there is a need for me to impact people not only for me to 'leave a mark' in this world but also because I think people should always have each other's back. We should support each other and make people surrounding us feel that they are not alone, that they have someone who believes in them. However, thinking about my general purpose now which is to go back home to God, I am realizing that accomplishing this mission is a challenge because yes, I might die fulfilled of my goal to affect others but it is not simple to act in such ways I can affirm myself when I die that I would be able to be with God. It's difficult to be financially rich but it is harder to be rich spiritually- this is the complexity of our purpose in life. 

Knowing one's purpose is indeed tough because there are times that we cannot comprehend what we want or need to be satisfied. Oftentimes, people have various understanding about our purpose in life people we have distinct mindsets and are facing various life experiences. Some can be fulfilled through simple means, others wait a lifetime just to figure out what they want and how to get them. 

Recognizing our purpose in this world is recognizing what will help us meet our desire for happiness. I think that now I know what my purpose is, I finally discern the ways I can be essentially happy. Succeeding in my purpose will give me genuine happiness no one or nothing in this world will ever be comparable to. 

The purpose of life is basically to go back to the one and only being that created us: God. He gave us this life to live it and make the most out of it. Once He takes us back to His kingdom, it means that we have already fulfilled our responsibilities on land and that He will reward us by taking us home into His arms.

2.    Before you take this course, what do you think is your purpose in life? How do you perceive your purpose now? Why do you think some people find it difficult to answer such questions?

Before taking up this course, I thought that the purpose in life varies for each person. I thought that a person’s purpose is to be found out depending on doing what makes him/her happy and contented. Whenever I am asked this question, I always say that my purpose is to make myself, the people around me, and the people I love happy. I thought that my purpose was to make a change and leave a mark. Now, I realized that these were definitely not it; these are the things I must do in order to achieve my purpose. 

I think that some people find it difficult to answer these questions because they lack the enlightenment about life itself. This is not a question you get asked often, but it may be a question someone asks themselves every single day. Some people may not have figured it our yet but all of us has a purpose in this world, and it is to go back to our Creator. 

3.    Why do we have different understanding about the purpose of life? 

We all have different understandings about something. People’s views and opinions vary all the time. I think that others have a different understanding about the purpose of life simply because they haven’t figured it out yet. 

4. How would you relate your desire for happiness with your purpose?

My desire for happiness lies within the hands of the One who created me. He is the reason I exist so I believe that happiness will come once I accept His will and plan for me. I desire to achieve a lot of things and one of them is happiness. All I have to do is surrender everything to God and trust His timing. I know that this will lead me to genuine happiness and then be able to fulfill my purpose.
