There is a maximum of $500 per year available for up to 90 students towards transport costs of:

• Two buses or train trips

• Guided bike ride to field trips

1. Support local schools with an Environmental Restoration Prize
2. Sponsor Water Analysis and eDNA kits for local schools
3. Support schools with predator tracking and trapping equipment kits
4. Purchase native seedlings for restoration plantings on public and private land
5. Engage students and community groups on special days., eg. "Restoration Day"
6. Support field trips that connect concepts of tiakitanga and whanaungatanga
7. Link and manage community activities with local businesses, iwi, and schools
8. Help source jobs and environment-related career paths for school leavers

• run staff meetings to look at how our resources lead to developing local curriculum

• work with you to identify where you are at and support your next steps

• provide measuring equipment to see what the issues are

• support action taking by your rangatahi

This fund is designed to support project and initiatives that require to support waste minimisation activities through the year.

Up to $2,000 is available for projects that could include but are not limited to:

• event waste minimisation

• waste audits for community groups

• seed funding

• promotion and public awareness

• training, and professional development

• setting up systems to minimise waste.

Applications will be assessed by Carterton District Council and considered bi-monthly from February to December each year.

You can set up your own school and anything that people photograph will be recorded.

• Get outside and point the Seek Camera at living things.

• Identify wildlife, plants, and fungi and learn about the organisms all around you

• Earn badges for observing different types of species and participating in challenges
