That's the problem about being conscious: while your instincts tell to you to run away, to hide, not to return to the places that, once, caused you pain, your mind keeps fighting for meaning. For a rational, higher meaning. For purpose. That's why, commonly, most happy people are, in fact, those who live less like people, looking for no answers, just responding accordingly to their impulses.
