They began as informal street food stalls run by early immigrants, who sold affordable dishes reflecting their diverse ethnic backgrounds. Over time, the growing number of street hawkers led to problems with hygiene and public health. To address this, the government organized a major cleanup effort by relocating hawkers into specially built centres with proper sanitation, licensing, and facilities.          <title>Notes on how to make my favourite food :Chicken fried rice </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>🍚 Ingredients:</p><p>2 cups cooked white rice (preferably cold, leftover rice works best)</p><p>1–2 chicken breasts, diced 🍗</p><p>2 eggs, beaten 🥚</p><p>1 cup mixed vegetables (like peas, carrots, corn) 🥗</p><p>2–3 green onions, sliced 🧅</p><p>2–3 tablespoons soy sauce (to taste) </p><p>1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for extra flavour) 🥄</p><p>2 cloves garlic, diced 🎲</p><p>1 tablespoon sesame oil (or any cooking oil) 🥄</p><p>Salt and pepper to taste 🧂🫑</p><p>🍳 Instructions:</p><p><br></p><ol><li><p>Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.</p><p>Add diced chicken, season with a little salt and pepper, and cook until fully done. Remove and set aside.</p><ol start="2"><li><p>In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed and pour in the beaten eggs.</p></li></ol><p>Scramble until just cooked, then push to the side or remove and set aside.<strong>                              </strong></p><ol start="3"><li><p>Add another drizzle of oil and toss in garlic, cooking until fragrant (30 seconds).</p></li><li><p>Add the mixed veggies and cook for 2–3 minutes untiltender.</p></li></ol><p>Add cold rice to the pan. Break up clumps and stir-fry for a few minutes until heated through and slightly crispy</p><p>Add back the chicken and eggs. Mix well.</p><p>Drizzle in soy sauce and optional oyster sauce. Stir tocoat everything evenly.</p><p>Add green onions and sesame oil at the end for flavor.</p></li></ol><p> </p><p>     Hope you learned something new to cook!</p>]]></description>
