         <description><![CDATA[<div>An Afro is another hair style that is big the black community. If you couldn't tell yet. Hair is very important in the black culture, it is a way to express yourself and your roots without saying a word.&nbsp; Afro's is worn by Men and Women, it was huge in the 70's but in later years has died down. But I'm pretty sure well have come back pretty soon.&nbsp; Afros were used in many black&nbsp;<br>power movements at the time.&nbsp;Should the black power in the movement. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hip Hop was started in the Bronx in the 1979. Was started by hustlers and young kids in low income neighborhoods. It was way of showing your skills with words without having any singing ability. Many say Hip Hop was a birth form Disco that was dying at the time. Hip Hop has turned into rap which different types of rap, from mumble rap to conciuos rap. Rap has now become one of the most popular music genres in the world.  </div>]]></description>

Jazz was popular in Harlem during the Harlem Renaissance.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Soul food was made from slaves during the slave days. It was srcaps from slave owner. Over generations these recipes have been passed on from generation to generation. This style has now been something black people have hold on a high level, and something you don't want to mess up on if not use to cooking soul food. This could be also used as an environment &nbsp;on how black people also used things on the plantation in order to eat. </div>]]></description>

These parties could last till 2am. But it was just make community closer.&nbsp;It bring organizations together to talk about the things that are going on in the neighborhood also. </div>]]></description>

While the  Bride and the Groom hold hands jumping the broom symbolizes them starting a new life with each other. This started back in the 1700's when slaves wanted to get married with each other. </div>]]></description>
