      인물 - 작품에 등장하는 사건의 주체 (등장인물)

      사건 - 작품이 전개되는 이야기 (등장인물 간의 갈등)

      배경 - 작품에서 등장인물들이 서있는 공간/시간적 장소

    1. 문체 : 작가가 작품을 쓰는 글의 형태로 서술, 묘사, 대화 3가지 요소로 이루어져 있음.

      서술 - 작가가 직접 설명하듯이 적혀져 있는 경우애는 서술

      묘사 - 다양한 사물이나 사람, 동물 등에 빗대어 묘사

      대화 - 대화를 통해 간접적으로 사건을 이끌어감.

    소설은 보통 발단, 전개, 위기, 절정, 결말이라는 5단계를 기본으로 구성된단다.

    먼저 소설의 시작인 발단 단계에서는 주인공이 등장하고 다양한 등장인물들이 소개돼. 그리고 배경이 어디이고 언제인지, 어떤 사건이 벌어질 예정인지 대략적으로 제시해. TV드라마에서도 대부분 1회에 등장인물들이 나오고 사건의 실마리가 나타나, 소설의 발단이 바로 이 역할을 하는 거야.

    두 번째 단계는 전개야. 전개에서는 사건이 슬슬 진행되어가면서 복잡해지기 시작해. 주인공과 주변 인물들의 대립과 갈등이 나타나지.

    세 번째 단계인 위기에서는 그 갈등이 점점 심화돼. 그리고 새로운 사건이 발생하면서 주인공이 위험에 처해지는 등 극적 반전이 나타나지.

    네 번째 절정 단계에 이르면 갈등이 최고조에 이르지. 공포영화를 보면 주인공에게 다가오는 위협이 점점 심화되어 범인이 밝혀지기 직전인 극도의 긴장 상태에 이르게 되는데, 이 부분이 바로 소설의 절정이라고 할 수 있어. 여기서는 주제가 드러나면서 사건 해결의 실마리 또한 제시된단다.

    그리고 마지막 단계인 결말에서는 실타래처럼 꼬인 갈등들이 해소되고 문제들이 해결되면서 주인공의 운명 또한 결정되지.
