I went to the school concert and helped out as a volunteer on Thursday night as well. I've been organising to go back a few times as a volunteer/classroom helper to keep in touch with the staff and the students. They've got a business day coming up next term that I'm going to be involved with. :)
 
 Can't wait to graduate and begin working in classrooms myself. :)

I will miss those little kids so much when I leave! 
I have been so very lucky with an incredible mentor who has given me so much freedom to have a go and take over her class. She has taught me so much in the short time I've been there.
I can't imagine what it will be like when I have a class of my own and I have to say goodbye to them after a whole year! Five weeks is hard enough! This prac has taught me though, that I am made to do this - I love it... even though I am sooo very tired, and can't wait to have some good quality time back with my OWN kids on the weekend next weekend. I am built to be a teacher .. bring on graduation so that I can get out into the real world classroom!

I feel like I am a part of the Prep team now at the school, and have formed some great professional relationships. I feel a bit sad about leaving the preps after working so hard to get to know each of them and being a part of their daily routines. Preps tell you EVERYTHING and I fell like i know them quite well now. Cant imagine how it feels as a teacher after ten months with them to send them on to the next teacher!! It was a great learning experience! Flexibility has never been my strong point and I learnt how to read the day and improvise when flexibility was a must.

The principal herself offered me casual work so found that a big rap!!!

I also got my Department of Education number!!! I cried!!!

My grade has been so challenging but it has been a good experience for me to implement and learn different behaviour management strategies.

I walked into all of the other 3/4 classes today and saw displays in every room of the clock worksheets I created for my class to use one lesson which all of the teachers asked for. What an achievement! Not only did the teachers ask for my lesson and worksheets I created but they implemented the activity and now the students work is on display around their classrooms! 

I'm looking forward to my last week. Not because I want to leave but because I'm excited to continue my journey to become a teacher!

I will miss all the babies (except for the snotty noses!). There were a few children that really struck a chord with me - surprised that by the end of such a short time I really felt comfortable and at home there. Considering asking about relief work at the centre, would even love to do some volunteer work in the older rooms.

One part of me is glad it's finished so l can bring the focus back to my family, but on the other hand I am going to miss it. My mentor, staff and children were all so lovely and welcoming.  l enjoyed my experience so much more than I expected. My Prac has made me see how I can teach these amazing children develop their confidence while developing their learning.
I will truly miss my kids in foundation. the kids have asked to to pop in and say :hi" next term. Can't wait to see them. Loved Loved my placement.
