         <description><![CDATA[<div>A reprieve is the postponement of a sentence, pardon is legal forgiveness for a crime<br>These powers of clemency in cases of federal crimes, the president also appoints all high level federal judges if an opening becomes available. Reprieving is the postponement of a sentence while a pardon is the legal forgiveness of a crime, both reprieving and pardoning are the president's powers of clemency (mercy or leniency) but can only be used involving federal offenses and have no authority over those who violate state laws.</div>]]></description>

Constitution grants the President the authority to veto legislation passed by Congress. <br>One more veto law includes line-item veto which can cancel specific dollar amounts in spending done by congress, a final legislative power is the prorogue of congress should the congress's two houses not agree on a date for their adjournment.</div>]]></description>
