They tested different aspects of pronunciation-stress, thought groups, linking. So the students had two chances at these paragraphs...but without much change. Does being able to link, etc. really matter when you are not confident enough to even say anything at all? I think we need to give student more chances to just speak. Giving them guidelines for presentations and discussions that they have to prepare for. Perhaps the winter ones will be more authentic?
