Theorists describe the engagement theory as an attachment that occurs when a person or a child is motivated and has self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is when a person believes and has confidence that that by doing what he/she is expected to do positive outcomes are going to happen. Also, theorists mentioned that when students are in a nurturing classroom community reading engagement is more often because students feel comfortable and motivated.
