To improve your french skills, I have always thought that watch movies or series, in french with subtitles ( in french obviously) is a great way to practice the listening, but also to increase your vocabulary, and isn't a boring activity, you could spend your free time watching a movie of your interes and practice at the same time, and this activity works in any language you want to learn.

My hommie, one of the useful strategies to improve these two skills is to get used to listen to conversations that are aligned to your level in the specific language. This way in the process you just need to have consistency so that you start to "take off" your listening skills. you can realize that we know what a basic word like "bonjour" means, because since the beginning we have seen it and repeated it many times. That's how it most likely works in improving listening and you can find these audios in youtube or other tools in internet. Now, another advice to get better with vocabulary is to read a book you have already read in your native language, in the one you're learning. You can pretty much compare and remember what many words will mean now that you know the context and the story. That's how you wouldn't have to use a lot a translator. I hope this advice helps you take off with these skills!

The first technic that I would recommend is to read something simple, like a children’s story, or a personal blog that talks about everyday things, etc. This will help you with your vocabulary and grammar. If you want to focus on pronunciation, I recommend watching your favorite series or movies dubbed into French and as you already know what is going to happen, you are going to understand better what they are saying in the French dubbed version.

These technics have helped me a lot, I hope they help you too!

When it comes to talk about French and how people can improve their skills in the language, i have two advices that could work.

For me, the speaking part is kinda complicated, but I'm working on it in the way that I installed an app to have convos with people all over the world, and in this case, also with French natives, the app is called "HelloTalk", and it's very good to practice your speaking and also your listening by talking with others, at the same time you do some friends.

Try to use the technology for that, nowadays it's very simple to learn something by surfing on internet, be the best friend of internet.

In addition, if you want to improve your reading, you need to get used to how grammar works in French, something that's kinda easy for a native in Spanish, because the two languages share a lot of similarities, and with that, we (native speakers of Spanish) can easily improve in this aspect.

Hi, everyone.

My advices to improve your pronunciation skills in French are:

Let’s begin with the use of your own recordings, for example you can record your voice and compare it with one recording of a native speaker to identify in which areas you have to work and be more careful, such as the rhythm and intonation. The second advice is: try to exaggerate the sound of the vowels and the consonants and do it loud, at first it will be weird, but then you will notice that your sounds will be more fluid.

Let’s continue with some advices to improve your grammar skills:

You can start doing your own flash cards of the topics that you find most difficult, like the genre and number agreement in the verbs or in the adjectives. Make sure you do it with your hands, it could help with the memorization.

If you are having any trouble with remembering words in french, I got the solution.

For me, the AI has been a very useful tool when I am studying the correct pronunciation and structure of unknown words, and if you are clever enough to use this resource to study your writting skills, go on. If you want to improve your pronunciation skills, try to talk to yourself in french and speak outloud when you are alone. Not only the AI has helped me a lot but the french movies and music too. Constant listening and watching is the key to get used to any language and learn a lot of things about vocabulary (idioms too).

Good morning, partners.

The strategy that I have been using for pronunciation is reading aloud, it works to identify grammar too. I start reading and when I have a doubt, I check the pronunciation in WordReference, research helps me to memorize things, and writing special words that I need to learn allows me to review anytime I want to memorize them. An easier way is using an audiobook to practice repeating all the parts that you can’t understand or you need to strengthen.

Best wishes!

Hi, everyone.

I know that pronunciation in French is a bit difficult, but to improve it you can watch podcast in French and try to repeat what they are saying. Also you can find some videos on youtube that explain in detail how French pronunciation works, especially the “nasal sounds” because I know that they are a big problem when we are trying to improve our pronunciation.

Also, I know it is difficult to make a sentence in French when you are used to the English stucture. To help with this, it would be a good idea to write at least one sentence every day, using different pronouns, verbs, and other elements so you can also practice them.

Hi everyone

I think it’s fair to say french has been difficult for us all, it has a lot of verb conjugations, different pronunciation rules compared to Spanish and English and it is in general a complex language. I want to recommend the things I use to study and what is working for me:

First of all, I really recommend having a daily practice app in your phone, I think it is important to find at least free 5 minutes in your day to do a listening, reading or speaking exercise, the most know app is Duolingo, but there is a lot of other apps, like wlingua, studycat, busuu…

To practice vocabulary you can rely on this apps or practice with extern plataforms like Quizizz (now called Wayground), it is a website where teachers around the world upload their classes material of a lot of topics.

My second advice is to socialize a lot, now with social media we have access to talk to different people from different countries, search for a friend that is a native in the language you are learning, personally, I have a French friend and we communicate mainly in English, because I am still too much of a beginner to be able to understand her completely, but she helps me when I ask for advice and I find that a native

opinion is very useful.

1. To improve pronunciation, I would advise reading books, practicing, but as the best advice, I would say listening to music. Music is an activity we do very regularly, and when we start listening, we want to learn the song lyrics, and that helps people focus on what is being said and how it's pronounced.

2. I would say that if people start studying grammatical structures, rules, and begin practicing in the language, they could improve in that aspect.
