         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>When sensory receptors are continuously stimulated, many of them undergo an adjustment called sensory adaption.</li><li>As receptors adapt, impulses leave them at decreasing rates, until finally theses receptors may stop sending signals.</li><li>Example: a person walks into a room with a strong smell, the longer the person is in the room, the less noticeable the smell is.</li></ul>]]></description>
