We see Montag as an outcast when he s being hunted by law enforcement and a robotic dog. Montag is being hunted because he believes something other then what everyone else believes. Montag and few other colleagues believed that books should not be burned but instead be used to further human knowledge. They read and memorized many books for the future generation to come.
