Humans cannot survive without nature. Thus, it is necessary to live interdependently with nature. I think one way that I live interdependently with nature is that I take care of the environment and trees. The trees also produce oxygen for me to breath. One way that I live interdependently with my community is that we have good relationships. We can rely on each other if anything good or bad happens.

Everything we consume has been derived from what nature has availed to us. People often forget about the fact that Earth is a closed ecosystem in itself and resources are not endless. Given human consumption habits, we are depleting resources at a much higher rate than we are restoring them. We are not only interdependent on nature but also completely reliant. The same cannot be said for natures dependency on humans.

One way I would live interdependently with nature and the community is to be happy that we all live in this Earth and we need nature in order for us to survive. We need nature or us to survive because that's where the oxygen comes from and we should be leaving it alone and also for our community, we just can't throw anything in the trash and have more waste. Everywhere, there should be a recycle, glass and a trash bin and also for the oceans, the trash ended up being there because of laziness and there are only a few people that can help clean the oceans, everyone should be doing their part by not take it personally and also it's recommended to volunteer about the environment if they have nothing to do at home.

I try to use as little water as possible when showering, recycling as much as possible, using reusable water bottles and bags, and practices like that. Also, it is important to stay informed about the environment and ways one can help by reading articles such as the Living Planet Report. Within my community, I clean up trash in my local park and nearby streets so that we can all appreciate a better environment. One could also check the local community’s online forum, if it has one, and see if there are any volunteering opportunities to directly help out your own community.

All species rely on others in some way for survival such as food and shelter. A way that I live interdependently with my community is to follow the three "R's" which stands for reduce, reuse, and recycle. This allows for the conservation of natural resources and landfill space. Recycling is incredibly important because it also reduces air and water pollution. The amount of harmful chemicals as well as greenhouse gases can be lessened if recycling becomes a daily practice.

During the pandemic, I would say that I live interdependently by being concious of my impact on the environment. For example, I try my best not to lidder when throwing out the trash. In addition, I always make sure to throw items away in the appropriate bins, which is soomething that I used to not do on a regular basis. Finally, I make sure to take time to appreciate the nature around my house.

I live interdependently by starting my own garden in my backyard. Not only is it good for the environment, but I also feel a sense of pride using the food I grow for the food that I eat. Alongside this, I am also aware of the impact that garbage has on the environment so I throw things away in their appropriate bins wherever I am. For the community, I donate what I can for others in need and help neighbors with their garbage since they're at an age where my aid helps them out a lot.

I've been a true "city kid" for most of my life, and though I appreciated nature and knew the importance of it, I always preferred to go to the mall with friends instead of going out on a hike or visiting a large garden. Ever since the pandemic started, I've been hiking more and taking in the beauty of the world around me more. When I breathe in the fresh air from the outside, I feel more fulfilled knowing I'm connecting to the world that isn't on my phone.

Just the other night when I was on break at work I found myself staring into the moon and the stars. I try to be more aware of the animals around me. One thing that is really interesting to me is to stare out into the ocean and comprehend just how large the ocean truly is. As far as the eye can see it feels as if it is endless. These little things for me are something I have started to appreciate in my older life.

So from watching the videos about how we humans are destroying our own home, Earth, I tried my best to donate to organizations that helps to fix the problems we are creating on Earth. I also started to appreciate nature more by going exploring and just taking in the scenery rather than using my phone the whole day. I hope to one day be able to own a house and build a garden in it because I have grown quite an interest in flowers and plants and many of us know how many benefits it has to having a garden.

You can always go on a hike anytime, but that's not doing anything to improve nature. By being less wasteful of our resources, by avoiding trends that will disrupt the planet at our enjoyment, such as fast fashion, eating beef, etc., we're living for both today and for tomorrow, not some social structure of yesterday We need to rethink not only our actions, but our intentions. Why as a society do we value buying much more expensive materials that we will use once such as fast fashion or a car that is brand new (when we can just buy a used one, and avoid buying more clothes), when we can living much more independently with not just "nature" but also our communities in urban areas.

As someone who has a big lawn and a lot of house plants, the best I can do to help the ecosystem that helps me so much, is to take care of it.

A way that I live interdependently with nature would be the daily appreciations that I reserve time during the day for. I enjoy going on walks in the morning (usually to walk the dog) and take time to just listen to the sounds of birds, leaves bristling, and wind blowing. For the rest of the day, I usually have headphones on or have some kind of music playing during the majority of the day which I am working, so these walks which I take without any headphones on feel like a breath of fresh air. Taking time to appreciate the nature that surrounds our homes feels like something that we take for granted, being that it might not be there forever, with all of the current urban development that is happening everywhere we look. We can find the characteristic of interdependency between us and nature where we often use nature to our own benefit, such as resources or relaxation. But nature can also depend on us, where we must preserve and care for our nature, such as watering plants, planting trees, maintaining lawns, etc. The caring for nature does not rely on a single individual, but community as a whole, where communities must come together to care for the nature which cares for us.
