The Lesson learn in Number the Stars is to never give up and to know that God is beside you no matter what. Threw Anna M.'s journey, she struggled with being alone. Most of the time Anna M. would go against God and believe he wasn't there. Anna M. then noticed that she could trust God and that he would always lead you to the best of things.

Anna M's future is really important to her. Whether it's seeing if she'll ever see her dad again or seeing Ellen again. It's hard for her to go on after the 2 years journey of keeping Ellen safe. My prodiction of Anna M's future is that she will see Ellen again one day when they can laugh of the time they were undercover sisters for 2 years.

" Do you have my necklace Anna M?, 'Yes of course I do Ellen' 'I have kept it in a very safe spot." "The girls both hugged as they said goodbyes knowing they may never see eachother again" (Lowery 224). This quote is important because it shows the loving relashionship between both the girls.

Anna M. learns that most of the time lying is bad, but some times lying can be good. I can relate to this because I'm always scared to lie even when I'm doing it for somebody elses good. My anxiety levels rises and I get scared to lie. Just like Anna M. She was scared to lie by keeping her best friend in her family to keep her safe. I know lying is bad, but in the end lying can end up saving somebody's life. Just like Anna M did for Ellen.

Anna M goes through external conflict when 3 soliers were passing by and cot Anna M by the shoulder asking her were she was going. Where she was actually going was home to continue keeping Ellen safe. When the soldier asked her why she was in a rush her face began to flush and her nerves began to bubble inside her. She responded with "oh... I'm running home from school" (Lowery 3). When she said this the soldier released her from the solder and allowed her to run by to get home. This is an example of external conflict because society hits her with panic.
