They float across the Atlantic Ocean and meet the Cloud-Men that control the weather. They fly to New York City and scare all the people living there. An airplane cuts the strings connecting the giant peach to the seagulls causing the peach to fall and land on the tip of the Empire State Building. The city thinks James and his bug friends are heroes and the towns people eat the peach. The seed is then built into a mansion in Central Park for James to live in. He wanted to get away from his evil aunts so he took off on a walk alone and came across a stranger that gave him magic "crocodile tongues". James spilled the crocodile tongues onto a peach and the peach began to grow very fast. I enjoyed the book even more. I remember as a little kid watching the movie and being a tad bit scared of it because of the talking bugs. Reading the book as an adult, I found it interesting and intriguing.
