A memorable quote I read this week in my book is, "...Hindus, in their capacity for love, are indeed hairless Christians, just as Muslims, in the way that they see God in everything, are bearded Hindus, and Christians, in their devotion to god, are hat-wearing Muslims." The message has kept me thinking for days and the dialogue is immaculate. Dante Alighieri and Virgil travel through hell, purgatory, and heaven in a symbolic epic poem about the poet's banishment from Florence. This 500-700 page (depending on the copy) poem was begun in 1308 Dante spent the rest of his life on the book, finishing it in 1320 and dying in 1321. If you can understand early modern English, have a lot of free time, and a love for classical literature, this masterpiece of a poem is for you! It is interesting because Jesus went so far just to talk to fishermen about God. This means that Jesus loves everyone and would do anything for you. I think that everyone should read the Bible to get information about a God who loves us so much. The Elite tells the story at the stage in the competition where there are only six girls left and tensions are high from both the competition and the dangerous rebels. This book is great read and something I recommend because you become very connected to the characters and the storyline. There's a great combination of emotion, drama, excitement, love, and more. It's also super unpredictable and it leaves you wondering what will happen next.
