Which of the terms above do you think this is an example of? The video shows stereotyping and racism based on the person's accent. 

Do you believe you have ever stereotyped someone (or treated them differently) by his or her accent or speech pattern? If so, how? I've never treated someone differently but I have assumed where a person  might be from based on their accent. 

Is judging someone based on his or her accent or speech pattern different from judging that person based on his or her appearance?  They're both unfair stereotypes that create the wrong/harmful assumptions about people. 

Can you think of examples of this that you have seen or experienced? One of my teachers last year tried guessing where students were from based off of their last names.
