         <description><![CDATA[<p>STEPS:</p><ol><li><p><strong>Teacher poses a question or topic</strong>: The teacher asks an open-ended question or gives a prompt for discussion. </p></li><li><p><strong>Set time for sharing</strong>: The teacher sets a timer, typically for 30 seconds to 1 minute per student.</p></li><li><p><strong>Partner A shares</strong>: One partner (Partner A) begins by sharing their response to the question while Partner B listens actively without interrupting.</p></li><li><p><strong>Partner B paraphrases or comments</strong>: After Partner A finishes, Partner B might paraphrase or offer a brief comment about what Partner A shared to show they were listening.</p></li><li><p><strong>Switch roles</strong>: After the timer goes off, the partners switch roles, and Partner B now shares while Partner A listens.</p></li><li><p><strong>Class debrief (optional)</strong>: After both students have shared, the teacher may call on a few pairs to share their thoughts with the class.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
