The reasons why the Roman Empire fell were as following. Political Instability Since Rome never found a good system to successfully transfer rulers. The second problem was the economic problems. The citizens had to pay high taxes leading into poverty. The third problem was the social problems. There was curruption, crime, and not enough jobs. The fourth problem was weakening frontiers. Since Rome was too big to defend, communication was slow, and soldiers were sometimes disloyal.
