The action and survival aspect of the story made me enjoy it. The first 30 chapters were not that good. But then the action really started and the fighting made it enjoyable.

How did you manage to fly the plane with little experience?

Why did you chose to build farms in the neighborhood instead of going to the Petersons farm?

Why didn’t you immediately go to help olde burnham while it was being attacked?

They would probably go back home regather themselves and then make a plan to go attack the rest of the group. They will win that attack and get all of their resources and then make a bigger wall. They will then go find a way to make gas and start a trading network. They will then start a new government from the ground up.

Adam and Herb would go back to the neighborhood and tell everyone that they are going to live. Then they would go to the enemy's previous take out any stragglers and get the rescources from their base. They get back with no problems and everyone settles down and they enjoy their lives.

Technology Dependance - The reason the story is happening is because of people’s dependence on technology. Without technology people turn against each other to survive.

Adventure - Almost everyday is something new for Adam. One day he could be taking care of his siblings and the next being shot at.

Now that they have showed themselves that they can do it they should try to rebuild there community. Maybe there should be a type of government to try to help manage all of the problems. If they had a type of military to help further protect themselves. If they did that there would have to be more training.

This book was very fun to read, the way the author describes what’s happening allows me to easily picture what’s happening in the story. When Adam and Herb are attacking the enemy from the air by dropping Molotovs and grenades the author clearly describes what’s happening, for example: “Bombs away!” Herb yelled as he pulled the pin, and in one smooth motion put the grenade back in the bag and dropped the whole thing. We zoomed past the second truck in the convoy and I pulled up hard on the stick, and then there was an explosion. The plane rocked upwards and I could feel a wave of heat engulf us. I struggled with both hands to control the tilting, rocking plane.

In a perfect world Eden Mills would continue to grow stronger and recruit more essential personnel while Adam and Lori become official. Herb gives up more secrets about his past that gives us further understanding of why he always plans for the worst. Maybe Dad find his way back home.
