Ferndale High School is a secondary Title-1 school that serves over 600 students. I led the visual arts program and taught drawing, 2D, 3D, and photography classes. I proactively communicated with stakeholders about student performance, which resulted in informed decision-making and increased student achievement.

I have mentored numerous part-time student teachers and one full-time student teacher. I've supported colleagues in their onboarding process and provided training on educational tools and software. I collaborated with colleagues from other departments to launch school-wide initiatives in order to meet the needs of our students.

Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts is a consortium school serving seven different school districts. CASA offers sixteen Advanced Placement courses, including a widely-known visual arts curriculum.

I have led the Advanced Placement Art & Design program for the past five years. During my time I have mentored two other instructors in learning the project requirements, developed year-long project plans, evaluated progress against departmental goals, and met multiple deadlines on time.

In both roles, I oversaw all aspects of team management, from developing player skills and game strategies to documenting player progress.
