The spinning machine is a water powered system that spins cotton, making it easier to make clothing. The first one was made in 1771 by Richard Arkwright and Jebediah Strutt. Samuel Slater was Strutt's apprentice at Strutt's mill. Slater moved to New York from England, where he found a job in a mill. However, he ended up dissapointed when he saw how poorly equipped the mill was. He knew that he needed to introduce the US to the spinning machine immediately.

The spinning machine was created by Richard Arkwright, who is considered to be the father of the factory age. When you use this machine, it is much easier to get raw, good quality cotton from the mills.

The spinning machine was an invention that made the making of textiles easier. The machine was able to spin cotton and it was water powered. The machine was easier to use to make clothing than spinning cotton yourself. It was invented by Richard Arkwright and Jebediah Strutt. Strutt moved on and got his own mill a while later. Samuel Slater became Strutt’s apprentice at this mill. After done at Strutt’s mill, Slater moved to America. In America, he went to New York and he found a job. He was disgusted by the fact that there was such a lack of new technology. He found out that there was a mill with Arkwright’s water frame in Rhode Island.

Slater went there. When he got there, he was immediately hired. The company struggled at first. However, the company started thriving soon thereafter.
