As CAST becomes more important, will we consider reviewing science data? If we present data on science, we may have more input/feedback. As of now, it looks like math and ELA is where all the needs are.

Schools are working on creating a positive environment where students want to attend school regularly. Good attendance is recognized at our schools.

Overall attendance and TK and K attendance is also better in year 1 than in the baseline year. Additionally, the truancy rate has also fallen which is a positive indicator.

Review 21st century structure. For students who can finish the week's worth of assignments in 4 hours, they need allowances for completing it all early.
Can Attendance credit be based on work completion, not weekly attendance?

Students need support planning out their weekly workload and doing it well, rather than completing it quickly.
Determine specific barriers preventing subgroups from reaching their attendance goals and address the needs. (i.e, having curriculum in the primary language for EL's, a sped student may need more support aligned to the IEP).
Find root causes for the barriers so as to know best way to address them effectively.
Can workload be project based to engage students more?
Offer a space on-site for students who need a quiet space to work.

It's impressive that foster youth graduation rate has gone up so much for our new baseline. Looking at the past increase in counseling, Saturday School, summer school, EDguinity, tutoring, alternative CTE pathways, and staff commitment could all be contributing factors. All of which fall under goal 2.

The K-8 ELA and Math academic goals seem to mirror the growth in 9-12, indicating that supports for ELs, LTELS, Foster Youth, Students with Disabilities, SED are pushing the district in the right direction. We are on point with the state when looking at the dashboard, and small growth in areas like EL's and Foster Youth. Other populations are sure to follow.

MTSS supports in place, including interventions for reading and math, have greatly supported students needs.

When reviewing the summary and comparing the data, no discrepancies stick out. The information looks correct. (page 36-37)
