         <description><![CDATA[<div>A chattel slave is a enslaved person that is owned forever and their children automatically become enslaved.<br><br>The slaves were washed and shaved and their skin was oiled to make them appear healthy and to increase their sale price.<br><br>The only people that could exempt from labor is children under the age of 6, elderly people and people with physical disabilities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Triangular trade had 3 stages&nbsp;<br>1. the british would leave their ports&nbsp; and head for west africa with raw good.<br>2. then the african kiddnappers woul kidnap africans and would sell them to the british.<br>3. the passage the biritish took was called the middle passage<br>4. the british would reture back to their ports and sale the african slaves to slavery.<br>5.2/3 of the slaves sold ended up on sugar plantation.</div>]]></description>
