is a telecommunication medium that is used to transmit and receive moving images either monochromatic or color.
it is usually accompanied by sound.
the word television has been derived from Latin and Greek words which means far sight.
it took many inventors and engineers in different countries to come up with the design of the television.

one innovation of the television is cathode ray tube .
Also you have the Plasma TV which is most likely used today. 
People often use HD TV where there is a clear picture.

innovations that led up to the radio were broadcasting. this is where it all started.
Another innovation used was advertisement.
Another big part of this was the broadcasting of sports.
