you connect to a router or tower which connects to the ISP (internet service provider). IP addresses are sent from one computer to another to be able to access certain web addresses. people are easily put on fake and wrong web sites when hackers tap into open DNS servers.

TCP is the thing that checks for all of you parts of your information you request. for example when you get a song from spotify TCP checks to make sure you get all the parts of the song and then it sends a message back to the computer the song was sent from to tell the computer that it does not need to send anything else. if your device does not get all the packets it will tell the sender to resend the missing packets so you will be able to play your song smoothly

when on a website http and html are the way you find a specific browser and when you are on a website the http requests for the images and text in separate URLs. for instance when you log into a web site or a account you are sending the website information to tell that you are a specific person and then the website sends you the web address for your specific account and cookies that make your computer remember that you are for example Lawson not someone else. http and DNS are responsible for sending information such as mail. TCP and IP break down and transport packets.
